Location

Adjacent to the LBJ National Grasslands, in Alvord, Texas. 12 miles north of Decatur.
Only 1 hour from Dallas-Fort Worth and 2 hours from Oklahoma City. We are 6 miles off Hwy 287, so it is very quiet and peaceful.

 Trails

Direct access to the most extensive trail system in Texas with more than 75 miles of clearly marked equestrian/multi-use trails on over 20,000 acres.  The trails have different colored markers designating each trail.  The Yellow and Red trails are each 10.5 mile loops. The Blue and White are each 14.5 miles, and the newest 25 mile Orange trail. You can access these trails from our campground, no need to trailer your horses to a trailhead.

We border sections 32 and 33 of the grasslands. A quick ride across section 33 will lead you  to the 25 mile orange trail. Section 32 is 450 acres and not part of the main trail system,  but most of our guests like it better!  It leads you to "Ball Knob Hill"  which is the highest point in Wise County - the views are amazing and there's also a working windmill to water your horses.  

 Facilities

RV sites with water, septic and electricity (20, 30 and 50 amp). For those sites without septic there is a dump station. We can accommodate the largest trailers, our level gravel pads are nearly 60 ft. long. The entire property is fenced, with locking gates and lights at night for your security.      We have several pens, 2 covered, and many moveable panels for your horses.
